1 Then Hannah prayed and said,
Hezekian Royal Song
My heart exults in Yahweh.
My horn is exalted in Yahweh.
My mouth opens wide against my enemies,
because I rejoice in your salvation.
2 There is none holy like Yahweh,
for there is none besides you,
and there is no Rock like our God.
3 Let no more boastful talk abound,
nor arrogance come out of your mouth.
For Yahweh is a God of knowledge,
and actions are weighed by him.
4 The bows of the mighty are broken,
but the stumbling have girded themselves in strength.
5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread,
those who were hungry have ceased to be.
Even she who is infirtile has born seven,
and she who has many children has languished.
6 Yahweh puts to death, and makes alive,
he brings down to Sheol, and raises up.
7 Yahweh makes poor, and makes rich,
he makes low, and lifts up.
8 He raises up the poor from the dust,
he he lifts up the needy from the dunghill,
to seat them among the princes,
to inherit a throne of glory.
For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh's,
and he sets the world upon them.
9 He will keep the feet of his Beloved One,
but the wicked will be silenced in darkness,
for not by strength will a man prevail.
10 Yahweh will break to pieces his contenders,
he will thunder upon them from the heavens.
Yahweh will judge the ends of the earth,
and give strength to his King,
and exalt the horn of his Anointed One.
