Priestly Intro
1 For David.
Salvation from Zion
The fool has said in his heart,
"There is no God." (Ps 115:2)
They are corrupt.
They have done abominable things.
There are none that do good.
2 Yahweh looked down from heaven,
upon the children of men,
to see if there are any that consider,
that seek God.
3 All have gone astray together,
they have become filthy,
there is none that does good,
there is not even one.
4 None have knowledge,
all work iniquity
Devouring my people,
they devour bread.
The have not called upon Yahweh.
5 There they have feared a great fear,
for God is in the generation
of the Righteous One.
The counsel of the poor you shame,
for Yahweh is his shelter.
6 Oh that he would give from Zion,
the salvation of Israel!
When Yahweh returns
the captivity of his people,
Jacob shall rejoice,
Israel shall be glad!
