Psalm 3

Priestly Intro

1 A psalm for David,
when he fled before Absolom his son.

Southern Royal Song

Yahweh, how my troublers
have multiplied,
many rise up against me.
2 There are many who say of my soul,
"There is no salvation for him in God."

Selah

3 But you, Yahweh, are a Shield for me,
my Glory, and the Lifter of my head.
4 My voice cried out to Yahweh,
and he answered me
out of his Holy Mountain.

Selah

5 I laid down and slept,
I awoke for Yahweh sustains me.
6 I will not fear
from tens of thousands of people,
which have set up around me.

7 Rise up, Yahweh!
Save me, my God!
For you have smitten
all my enemies on the jaw,
you have broken the teeth of the wicked.
8 Salvation belongs to Yahweh!

Your blessing upon your people!
