Northern War Song
1 Vindicate me, God,
and plead my cause
agaisnt an ungodly nation.
Deliver me from the deceitful
and unjust man.
2 For you are my God, my Strength.
Why do you cast me off?
Why do I go about in morning
because of the oppression of my enemies?
3 Send forth your light and your faithfulness.
Let them guide me.
Let them bring me to your Holy Mountain,
and to our tabernacles.
4 Then I will go to the altar of
God,
unto God is the gladness of my joy.
I will praise you upon the harp,
God my God.
5 Why are you downcast,
my soul,
and why disquieted within me?
Hope in God.
For yet I will praise him,
the
salvations of my presence,
and my God.
