1 These are the statutes and judgments
which you shall keep to do,
in the land which Yhwh the God of your fathers
has given to you to possess
all the days that you live upon the ground.
2 You shall surely destroy all the places
in which there the nations served
(which you will dispossess them)
their gods upon the high mountains,
and upon the hills,
and under every green tree.
3 So tear down their altars,
and break their pillars,
and burn their Asherahs withe fire,
and cut down the idols of their gods,
and destroy their names from that place.
4 You shall not do so for Yhwh your God,
5 But the place which Yhwh your God
will choose from the tribes,
to place his name there to dwell,
you shall seek and come there.
6 And there you shall bring:
your burnt offerings,
and your sacrifices,
and your tithes,
and the offerings raised in your hand,
and your vowed offerings,
and your spontaneous offerings,
and the firstlings of your herds and flocks.
7 And eat them there before Yhwh
your God,
and rejoice in all that is sent forth from your hand,
you and your household
which Yhwh you God has blessed.
8 You shall not do just anything
which we ourselves do here today,
everyone all that is right in their own eyes.
9 For you have not come into the
rest and the inheritance
which Yhwh your God is giving you.
10 But when you pass over the Jordan,
and dwell in the land,
which Yhwh your God is deeding to you,
and he gives rest to you from all your enemies that surround you,
then you will rest in safety.
11 But the place where Yhwh your God will choose
there to reside his name in it,
there you shall bring:
all which I command you,
your burnt offerings,
and your sacrifices,
and your tithes,
and the offerings raised in your hand,
and all that you choose to vow,
which you shall vow to Yhwh.
12 And rejoice before Yhwh your God,
you, and your sons, and your daughters,
and the Levite which is within your gates,
for there is not a portion for him,
or an inheritance with you.
13 Be careful for
you,
lest you shall offer burnt offerings
in any of places which you shall see.
14 But in the place which
Yhwh your God
will choose in one of your tribes,
there you shall offer your burnt offerings,
and there you shall do all that I command
you.
15 Only wherever you soul desires you may
sacrifice,
and may eat the flesh as a blessing to Yahweh your God,
which he has given to you within your gates.
The clean and the unclean you may eat,
as the gazelle, and as the deer.
16 Only the blood you shall not eat.
You shall pour it out on the land as water.
17 You shall not eat
within your gates
the tithe of your corn, or of your oil,
or of the firstlings of your herd and your flock,
or of the vow which you have vowed,
or of your spontanesou offerings,
or of what is raised in your hands.
18 But before Yahweh your God you shall
eat,
in the place in which Yahweh your God has chosen,
you, and your sons, and your daughters,
and your servants, and your maidservants,
and the Levite which is within your gates.
And
rejoice before Yahweh your God,
in all that your hand sends forth.
19 Be careful for you,
lest you forsake the Levite
all your days upon your ground.
20 For Yahweh your God will enlarge your borders,
just as he spoke to you.
And you will say, "I will eat flesh,"
for if your sould desires to eat flesh,
then eat as much flesh as your sould desires.
21 But if it be too far
